Today it’s goodbye to Phi Phi and off to Koh Lanta which will hopefully be quieter . Set off on the packed boat for the trip over to Krabi Province. We met a couple of hawkers on the boat selling accommodation so we agreed to go with one of them to inspect their rooms. This turned out to be a good decision as the room was a large half bugalow in a resort with a pool right on Klong Khong beach for only 1000 Baht per night. The food in their restaurant was great and prices were very reasonable too. We spent the afternoon by the pool until it cooled down and then we set off for a walk down the beach (a few km) and stopped off at one of the beachfront bars set up on the sand for a cocktail on the way back. Had the most amazing Masaman Curry for dinner (can’t remember Grahame’s meal but it was all pretty good).
