6/1/2010 Culture Shock

Early this morning we arrived in Singapore which is the antithesis of South East Asia, clean modern & sterilized! Also expensive – a beer at the pub where we were staying was $10 Singapore Dollars (about $8AUD). After wandering a bit we did discover the human side of Singapore in Little India where we were staying – especially after lunch on Banana Leaves & the hawker like activities here. We also had business cards made up here so we could pass on our details & blog to fellow travelers as we went along. Half an hour and we had a box of 200 – you can’t fault the efficiency here! We ended the day in a little tapas bar back in Little India – great food!
