27/12/2009 Weird cats !!!

Did you hear about the cats ??? They have these weird tails that look like somebody has either cut their tails off or the end of their tails are bent on the end. I know you don’t believe us so check out the pics .

Pretty much a lazy day did some more snorkeling and managed to see a big turtle going about its business in really shallow water, we watched him for ages munching away on the sea weed and coming up for air, he did get a bit cranky when I was trying to poke him !!!

These islands have no motorized transport at all so to get around you can either walk hire a bike or get a cidomo (miniature horse with a cart) poor bloody horses - 4 Aussies and the driver getting towed along. Anyway we did catch it a couple of times: once back from the pub late and another time to check out where Gabby and Craig were staying. They were at this eco resort and staying in this place that was huge and normally 3 or 4 times what we were paying but they got a deal off a drunken Aussie guy. It was great but you had to get the horse every time you wanted to go to town as it was a fair walk from the action (and yes you can ring the horse just like a taxi).

Travel tip: nothing is fixed price so whatever they start with you need to haggle until you get a price you are happy with!!
