Tracey was still very ill so we decided to find a doctor and were sent to a local hospital. The hospital worked on a pay as you go system and was very efficient. In just over an hour she had seen an English speaking GP; had blood and urine tests at the hospital lab; got the results and took them back to the GP; got prescriptions; exchanged these for drugs at the hospital pharmacy and were out again all for less than $35!
Walked to Times Square and took the monorail to the Petronas Towers but found that we couldn’t get tickets and so instead walked via the Visitor Information Centre to the Telecom Tower. We had to walk through a mini-jungle right in the centre of the city to get there and by the time we were halfway it started to rain so we arrived at the tower absolutely drenched! We bought tickets anyway as it was on such a high hill we knew that we weren’t going to go back there again! It was a great view even though you had to defend yourself against the tourist traps at the top and gave us a great perspective of the city.
We walked back to our hotel from here via a little English pub where we had a pie and chips and as we were exhausted we were very glad of our spa bath once we got home!
